Three ways to buy a new car 1. BUY FROM A DEALERSHIP SHOWROOM FLOOR.  The most common and most expensive method. When you work with a dealer you will work with commissioned salespeople hired usually with little or no experience and their backroom "managers." The primary goal is to get you to purchase from stock at the highest price and finance/lease rates with as many add-ons as possible. The Sales Associate makes a commission as does the Sales Manager, the General Sales Manager and the Finance Manager. Sometimes even the "Closer" or Floor Manager too. Even the Used Car Manager if you have a trade-in!  It is really hard to have equal footing in this transaction and as a result it is much more costly. 2. USE THE INTERNET Send an online inquiry to a dealer or other third party Most websites sell their leads to dealers who buy them or there are dealer websites that let you submit directly. On the plus side, you can get some information upfront that helps you, like real time inventory, but the moment you tell your internet sales associate that you are interested just watch what happens next. They will attempt to "close you" on making an appointment to come to the dealership. In essence you drop your guard and next thing you know, you are at the dealership buying a car the old-fashioned way. Let the games begin. 3.
